Linkedln is associated with Ashford University. So students can communicate with each other and can join clubs and look up jobs for the degree the student is studying at Ashford University. Plus they can also associate with coaches like for how to make a resume, cover letter, and other things to help them get their foot in the door of a job.

I like this site. As far as networking and finding contacts in whatever line of work you are in, you really can't beat it. The job search feature is pretty good as well. So, if you are not on Linkedin and you are looking for a new job or just want to network in your current job, sign up, it's pretty cool!

This is by a total waste of time to be on this site at all. It is alleged that you can find jobs on this site and I have been on it for years and have not once seen any reports of anyone getting a job or starting a new career here.

Good site to network and find new opportunities. I wish it were a little more powerful, when it comes to finding jobs. I find it hard to believe that I did not get any call backs or emails, based on my profile.

LinkedIn is a great site for professional networking. This site allows you to connect with your contacts and make new contacts. It allows you to upload your resume and market yourself or your business. The site also allows your contacts to rate your skills. And the site allows you to communicate with your contacts and potential employers.

As with everything in life, it depends.. On what? Well for starters.. What do you want to get out of it? How fast do you want it? If you want to build a network, there is no faster way than LI. But how much is your network worth? 2000 people are nothing if they are not able to help you achieve your goals. There are a lot of free guides... As with everything in life, it depends.. On what? Well for starters.. What do you want to get out of it? How fast do you want it? If you want to build a network, there is no faster way than LI. But how much is your network worth? 2000 people are nothing if they are not able to help you achieve your goals. There are a lot of free guides on and about this medium (careful, sometimes "free" means something else to someone else) but there is one GOLDEN rule that is often forgotten in every white paper. You can not ask anything on Linked in. Give and somewhere along the road someone will give back. It's about value. Share value and see your network grow in the right direction. Maybe not a great review, this bit....but sometimes advice can be worth a lot more. :) Fred Read more
