If I didn't have such a large friends group, I would have dumped FAKEBOOK long, long ago. They have to be the very worst of the worst.

It got to the point where I had to post "No politics or religion please" because it was getting out of hand. At this point the message got through to most, no more negative vibes.

Facebook. It's home. It's family. It's a connection to almost everything important to me. I have lived all over America and Mexico and have friends from all over the world, real friends, from living in so many places and they are my biggest support group. I also have a large family spread out all over America and into Canada and without the connections on Facebook to all of these people, I'd be lost. It is my photo album, my art gallery -- I am an artist, it is my journal. my storyboard, news, entertainment, a way to express myself and then not worry who sees anything or not because we all get lost in the shuffle equally and that's a blessing. I do my political bidding in other venues but am able to still be a part of them on Facebook. I can show all my friends what I do creatively as I not only paint, write, and more but I am also a graphic and digital artist and can self-promote myself freely and even make sales that way. What is there to not like about Facebook? Just as much as there is to love but it all depends on who you are and what you do, what you are made of, and what you make of life and how seriously you take yourself...and life. Facebook is simply part of life. Yes, many will never go on Facebook for whatever reasons they perceive as legitimate to themselves but, for example, I know many who keep physical photo albums, recipe cards, and diaries and journals...because they believe it's the only way to do them and more. But I am a digital guy and that saves time, space, paper, and much more..everything but actual personal interactions. I always want a hug and will never really get one on Facebook, no matter how many digital ones or textual ones I get. But I wouldn't trade it for the world, because Facebook...IS the world! It's home. It's family. It's the connection to almost everything important to me. I love cotton candy and cannot make it or eat it through their platform, so, there's that against Facebook. But I can post a video of cotton candy artists, my friends can share ones they find and share funny things about my obsession with cotton candy from the Netherlands to LA. So, I am on Facebook. You probably should be too. Read more

I use to love using Facebook and posting tons of jokes and memes. Staying in touch with friends and family. I’m just tired of jokes being removed -and hate speech being allowed.

Facebook ads seem to be scams. It is a shame they don't use some of their liberal 'fact checkers' to check on these thieves. They show some really great products for unbelievably low prices... but I've never gotten any I paid for (with the hope that they might be legit).

I use FB as a way to keep in touch with family and friends. This is a great platform for me to see my grandkids, nieces and nephews grow and they get to see my pets grow. I show a lot of photos on FB and I get great ideas for different things to cook or try before I buy.

Facebook is up in your face 24/7 if you don't like what it has on there or what Facebook has to say look out you get put in Facebook jail. Don't agree with there thoughts on a subject and they just might band you from Facebook all together. Parlor came a long and look what happen to them, hell they let you speak your mind and they was shut down ,pulled from the net. What's next will Facebook help to shut us down as a people with our free speech and free thoughts? Well that is something we all might wan't to step back and take in. Read more

Facebook is how me and my family stay in touch and whats going on amongst them all. I love being able to share our pictures with a post instead having to E-Mail everyone and having somewhere to store our pictures. I like being able to find old friends that you lost touch with over the years. Member since the start.

At one time, Facebook was a fun application to interact with family, friends, and strangers. A person could upload photos of their kids, vacations, sporting event, just about anything really to share with others either privately or publicly. Facebook groups are a way to share with others your interest in a particular subject. Facebook added games people can play with other Facebook users. They've added shopping so a person can purchase new or used items from other Facebookers. This is great and all, however, when a person's speech is micro-managed and their accounts are shut down temporarily (known as Facebook jail), and certain words are red-flagged so if Facebook detects the word, you start with a warning, getting a more severe punishment if you continue to defy them. Facebook then became a platform for seedy individuals to find victims since children love to tell others their whereabouts. If you are a straight-laced nerd like its founder, then you won't have any of these problems. Read more

Facebook simply has to be one of the greatest Apps ever invented. During all times of this wonderful life ups and downs. We become alone in this modern world. Is it possible to have modern interaction to take place of gatherings? Yes it is. Facebook helps the human interaction factor by a huge margin. Our minds and education rates can become only better with the comfort of friends and family. Me for example have become a solo human being for the most part. Only on Facebook could the mental status of the world stay in tune with the music being played..No complaints here. Read more

I have several thousand friends there and am saddened that I will be leaving there for better sites. You cannot make political statements unless they are approving current folks in power. I once took umbrage with a Iman from Iran who said all Christians should be all killed for not being Muslim. I said so it would be alright to do the same to Muslims for being Muslims. I was banned for 30 days the post by the Iman was not. Made me wonder is why I am moving to other social platforms. If you are interested in the truth, don't try it on FB. :) Read more

Plus I trust Facebook - which is a big deal with so many clever hackers and the like seeking to steal your personal information. As to censorship, I think so long as you're not speaking out or encouraging others to do things that are illegal or what the general population would consider immoral, you will be left to your own devices. I enjoy, at no cost, being able to communicate and send photos and videos, have video calls - free - with friends and family locally, nationally - internationally. So far as Mark Zuckerberg not paying enough tax in some countries, I don't have enough information to comment on - so I won't. Read more
