Autolist searches through all of the major used car apps to put together your search results. It is the most comprehensive tool I've used when looking for a vehicle. There are a ton of filters to make your search easier, and you can always remove "by owner" or "by Dealership" results depending on your situation.

I always check this site out before buying anything from Amazon. They have awesome deals and coupon codes that can literally take 50% off of the item. Most of the items listed are Prime eligible as well. It is always worth checking out. I bought a computer desk using a coupon code from this site and cut the cost from $120 to $65.

The benefits offered in a Prime membership push Amazon in front of every other competitor by miles. The guaranteed 2 day shipping means exactly that. The benefits offered in a Prime membership push Amazon in front of every other competitor by miles. The guaranteed 2 day shipping means exactly that. If it is late by even a day, you won't get any argument from customer service (barring some extreme circumstances) before action is taken to "make it right." The products have started to increase in price and decrease in quality due to a flood of individual sellers sending their items to Amazon warehouses to be 2 day shipped when purchased (called Fulfillment By Amazon, FBA). It has led to a lot of almost identical listings pushing out other (better) items being offered. A good example is a search for computer desks. Hopefully this is resolved before Amazon starts looking like Wish. Read more

This site used to be unique in that it offered items that most of us had not seen before. There are so many sites now that do that exact same thing Wish does but better. If your motto is "You might have to wait 5 years for it to arrive, but hey... you only spent $4," there is a problem. At least they are honest about it, hence the 2nd star. For the most part, companies that rely on overseas suppliers lose a ton of control over their own business. There is no happy customer scenario when an overseas quarantine means you won't get your marijuana socks in time for 4/20 this year. Wish is finally starting to source suppliers in and around the USA, but our crazy belief that workers have rights means that those rock bottom prices are going to keep coming up. Read more

I prefer Gmail slightly more for its integrations with apps like Sortd/Todoist/Notion that can organize your email into to do lists and spreadsheets. Read more

The saying: You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain, should be the motto for Yahoo.com. Gone are the days where clicking the dot on the exclamation mark rewarded you with the little yodel that so many of us enjoyed. Now, if Yahoo is set as your homepage, you are either the victim of a cyberattack, or your grandmother did that thing grandparents do where after five minutes alone with a computer, they have turned on Grayscale mode, somehow disabled the keyboard, and set Yahoo Answers as your search engine... The current page for Yahoo.com is a jumbled mess made even messier when you notice that there are more ads pretending to be news stories than there are actual news stories. What a spiral... As with any person to person exchange made on the internet these days, it is a good idea to wait to pay in person, or through an app that offers buyer protection (certain Paypal accounts, etc...). And most importantly, always meet the seller in a public location, or bring someone with you if that isn't possible. I'm not saying that everyone will have bad intentions, but don't risk becoming the subject of another "Craigslist Killer" reboot on Lifetime. We all deserve better than that. Read more

It's like Shark Tank but less condescending. This site Kickstarted a trend of crowdfunding, years ago, and is still going strong. The projects are still interesting, and the benefits that are usually offered for "backing" a project early (pre-release delivery, hefty discounts, etc...) are well worth it. A single person has the ability to save three other people by donating blood product through The Red Cross. Taking the time to donate is a truly lifesaving action. Because of the challenges of keeping certain blood components (particularly Platelets) viable outside of the body, our country is always just days away from having to deny chemotherapy to cancer patients, or being unable to save people in accidents. Donors are literally saving lives. And if that's not enough, there are always plenty of free shirts and snacks to show the smallest bit of appreciation for the truly amazing thing that has been done. I was amazed when I first found this site. This site is the perfect example of a time vampire. You're browsing all of the strange things that have been corralled into one place, and then you realize it's 3 AM the next morning, you have 100 items in your cart, and you would have to sell most of your organs to ever be able to check out. 4 stars because I realized after making a purchase, that the site is a dropshipper, meaning I pay Tomo, Tomo then goes to the website they found the cool item and just buys it (for less than I paid) using my name and address. It leads to extended shipping times, and there is not a guarantee the item is in stock. Still one of the most fun ways to lose 12 hours of your life though :) Read more

I think Indeed is still the best option to search for job openings in your specific area and offers just about everything you could ask for with resume building and tracking applications. They do have a serious issue with illegitimate/malicious services posting "work from home" positions in phishing attempts. Be weary of any "remote" position that charges you a fee to work there. Legit WFH positions do exist and are EVERYWHERE right now, but Indeed hasn't learned how to filter the massive flood of spam out of the results yet. Read more

It depends entirely on what you are using it for, but having had to deal with Paypal as a seller on Ebay, it's a very combative process. Some advice to new Ebay sellers forced into using PayPal: That "shipping" charge you include in your listing that you were banking on to, you know... ship the item? Forget about it! You'll get that at the same time as the rest of the payment. Which is to say, you might get paid for your sale a couple of days after the customer remembers to mark the item as received. The rules do loosen after over 20 sales, but the added weight on a new sellers shoulders is an unwelcome burden and, for me at least, is a huge reason to look elsewhere to do business. Read more
